Friday Favorites- Easter Cupcakes, Tea and A New Dress For Me

My favorite thing I made this week was these Easter Cupcakes for Lizzy's class Easter Party....

Jelly Bird Eggs and a handle made from Spree Rope candy. Lizzy watched a YouTube video and wanted to make them and they turned out just great!

My favorite beverage of the week has been this....

Bigelow Benefits Radiate Beauty

I have been loving this tea all week! I bought it a month or 2 ago as I usually get on a "tea kick", drink a few cups then go months without it but I'm on my second box of this and could still drink it all day long, hot or cold. The neat thing is....

It's pretty! It tastes great and its this pretty shade of magenta.
I'm not sure that its actually going to make me radiant, but I think its great!
(I also like this one at night for sleep.)

And I got the comfiest dress this week and have worn it already and love it!

Seasonal Reads for the Family- Valentine's Day Books

Okay with a 1st Grade boy and a Preschool girl we read ALOT at our house. I love Christmastime because we have 20-30 Christmas books to choose from so the stories of the season never get old.

Now that Christmas decorations are all packed away and we are decorating for Valentine's Day I wanted to add to our seasonal library. Here are my picks for Valentine's Day reading for young readers! I'm already loving what we've gotten!

The Berenstain Bears' Valentine Blessings (Berenstain Bears/Living Lights) this one is another one with stickers so I am sure it will be a hit with girls!

SO there you have it, fun characters we know well and cute stories to celebrate the season of love, friendship and kindness. Perfect picks for beginner readers and bedtime stories. I especially love that many of them have activities and stickers to make giving these books as gifts even more special! I hope y'all enjoy some of these as much as we are! Valentine's Day Decorations 2017

I've officially put away all of the trees and Christmas decor that had been decking our halls since November and immediately put out Valentine's Day decorations because little Lizzy was so sad. 

Here's a peek of what we have out so far this year!

I still need to switch out our dishes and get out my pink Moderntone dishes.....and according to Lizzy we need to add lots more Valentine things because "we don't even have one single tree up or anything!" Haha! Sweet girl loved all of the Christmas stuff and this has made her want more, more, more!

Easter 2015

Easter with the West kids was fun, sweet, busy and a tad bonkers this year!

We came back from the beach Friday afternoon to beat the traffic and make it home for a few egg hunts on Saturday.

Sadly, we didn't beat the traffic but the kids were awesome on our 6 hour trip home.

This was us on I-65 for almost an hour. Ignore my dusty/polleny dash. Thanks. 

Saturday morning we were up and ready for egg hunting and had a blast at church.

Seriously, Jay and Lizzy "found" a ton of eggs. Two baskets plus two filled bags.

As we left Lizzy started coming down with a virus, so the rest of her day and Easter morning mostly looked like this-

We did due eggs for the first time this year and both kids were amazed. I was amazed that we pulled it off with no cracks, spills or screams!

The Easter bunny came and did his thing- baskets, hidden eggs in the yard, and he even his our dyed eggs in the fridge! Silly wabbit.

We made Resurrection Rolls and bacon eggs and fruit for breakfast.

Jay and I went to church. If course the service was wonderful!

We came home to pick up Dad and Lizzy then off to Dede and Papa's for lunch with Joseph's family.

The kids had fun and got more goodies!

We came home candied up and tuckered out.

Although everything didn't go as planned and Lizzy was a tad under the weather we had a wonderful weekend celebrating our risen Savior!
