Lizzy {1}

Well, today I'm the parent of a one-year-old and a two-and-a-half-year-old.

Sweet Lizzy.

She is an all-around joy these days. Waking around 7, sometimes napping around 930 or 10, sometimes not. She always naps from about 3-5, if she's skipped the morning nap afternoon nap is more like 2-4.Bedtime is 8 she goes down awake and gets herself to sleep. Most days without any issue--but there are times when it takes a few tries.

Most nights she wakes at some point, I'd say about half the time its just jabbering and she goes back to sleep  and the other half she is up for 45 minutes or so of rocking, singing, etc. until we both fall asleep in the chair. I usually wake up with my arm asleep, Lizzy snoring away in my arms and put her back in her crib for the remainder of the night.

Her new favorite breakfast is a blueberry doughnut. I can't blame her. She will still eat oatmeal or a biscuit, but would always opt for the doughnut.

Other items on her approved menu:
Applesauce- only the kind in the pouch and she wants to feed herself
Macaroni and Cheese
Chicken Salad Sandwiches
Grilled Cheese
Graham Crackers
Teddy Grahams
Cheerios/Goldfish-these are sometimes okay and other times are immediately thrown from the highchair
Spaghetti- another hit-and-miss
Yogurt Covered Raisins

That's really about all she will eat. Which is totally the opposite of Jay.

She's a confident cruiser these days, maybe walking in a month or so?

7 teeth.

Size 18 Months, 5 shoes, 4 diapers.

She waves bye-bye, says Mama, Dada, "Day" (jay) "Guhh" (Gus). She mimics "I Love You". When she has a phone (or anything she can pretend is a phone) she says "Heh-Doh". She says "whassat" and "Whassis" constantly. Everything she sees, hears, touches she asks me "whassat" or "whassis" and looks me in the eye for an answer.

She's a dancer. Anytime, anywhere to the slightest little tune.

She's bashful as can be, but i think the stranger/separation anxiety issues are getting better--sometimes.

Smiley and happy most all of the time, she's quiet most of the time when Jay's up and around, but when he's gone or asleep she soaks up all of the attention she can and jabbers and performs and keeps the house from being silent for a moment.

She loves to be outside, adores Jay and thinks he HILARIOUS, likes to cuddle with Daddio, likes to hand you things so you'll say thank you and she is mimicking those words.

Still not a fan of the car, I'm guessing she'll grow out of this by the time she's 16.

We just love her so much and can't believe it's been a year since we became a foursome. I can't wait to see how she grows and changes into her own little person over this next year.
