2013...and the things that will be in 2014

Happy New Year!!

I hope these words remain true all the way to December 31 and we're looking forward to another year and wishing everyone we see HAPPINESS in the year to come.

I'm not a resolution-maker. I love this time of year to reflect on time gone by and look forward to what the next 12 months will bring.

Because, every year comes with it's own memories, it's own events, situations, agendas and circumstances. All of these are opportunities we have to make great things happen and etch precious memories into our hearts and minds.

Most of these moments wouldn't make the resolution list but are what make a
Happy
New
Year.

Just looking back 2013 brought--

Celebrations

Growth

Hugs

Vacation

Loss and comfort

Happy times that my calendar would have surely missed

2014 will certainly bring moments to remember and milestones of its own.

The birthdays-we'll celebrate 37, 34, 4 and 2.

Vacations- we'll take time out from the everyday as a family. We'll explore and enjoy all the new adventures.

The lessons-Jay will learn to write, maybe the beginning of reading; Lizzy will learn more about independence, be out of diapers.

We'll celebrate holidays with family and friends.

We'll laugh, we'll cry, we'll live the best we can.

I'm looking forward to 2014 and the promise of joy, giggles, tears, accomplishments and new adventures it holds.

Happy New Year! Thanks for the memories 2013-- it has been a great year.

Christmas in Nashville

Let's rewind to the Sunday before Christmas and remember the fun we had at Charles and Karla's with my family for Christmas.

We had great food and plenty of laughter and the kids all exchanged gifts. I did forget my camera but do have some iPhone pics to remember the day with

Matthew, Bubba, Janice and Mimi were there too. Somehow the ended up in zero pictures....note for next year--take a picture of everyone who hides in corners.

We also spent plenty of time in the kitchen while Daddy and Uncle Charles tried to fix the oven. A few days later I got a funny text from Charles....

We asked Jay about The fridge and he said "yes, I twisted that knob so I could turn it off." Sorry about your ice Cream Uncle Charles!!!

We also stopped by for a quick hug and visit wih Nanny and Cece before heading back to Bama right after dark.

It was a fun busy day and a great way to start the week of Christmas!
